This will be especially helpful to determine the most efficient way to migrate the city’s email data, provision users, manage the transition for end-users and more.
The decision to move to the Google Apps email and calendar system was prompted by an aging and increasingly temperamental on-site server. Rather than continue with the server and risk losing communication capabilities for weeks in the event that it shut down, council members on Monday approved plans to engage in Google Apps migration.
