We are thrilled to announce that SADA was named 2019 Best Tech Workplace for Diversity at the annual Timmy Awards ceremony, presented by Tech in Motion. SADA came out on top for its region after more than 40,000 votes were tallied. The Timmy Awards recognize the top places for tech professionals to work in ten cities across North America.

At SADA’s 2019 All Hands event Tony Safoian, CEO and President of SADA, set a strategic focus on diversity and inclusion. This focus starts with recruitment. We began by honing in on candidates that have diverse backgrounds from both a technical and cultural lens. SADA’s diversity and inclusion initiatives in progress for 2019 include:
- Analyzing our own microaggressions by tackling unconscious bias in job descriptions with the RecruitHer tool.
- Promoting from within through professional development and mentoring.
- Sponsoring booths at Women Impact Tech and the Society of Women Engineers Conference to network with hundreds of female engineers.
- Partnering with alternative coding schools to help non-traditional engineering students become successful cloud engineers.
