Google recently announced that they will be increasing the storage limit for Google Apps for Education users from the previous 7GB to 25GB.

“Starting next week, new schools that migrate to Google Apps for Education will receive 25 GB mailboxes. Existing accounts will see their storage size increase over the next few weeks.”

As a seasoned Google Apps for Education implementation partner, SADA Systems recognizes the increase as a signal of good times. At the time of Google Apps for Education’s initial launch back in in 2006, users were offered a whopping 2GB of free email storage space. The edition’s mailbox storage size has steadily increased over the years to 7GB and finally now to 25GB. Google recognizes that students and faculty have better things to do than spend time deleting spam and old email to free up email storage space.
