- Google Sync: Although the apps could already sync the mobile app with Google’s mail and calendar online, the new sync update gives you search options to search through all your mail and not just the mail downloaded onto the mobile app. You now have full access to your entire Gmail inbox with the new update! According to Google Apps partners, this is one of the most useful updates announced.
- Accept, decline or edit calendar events from the iOS app: Previously, you could only view the calendar on your iOS device but now you can interact with the events like you could on your desktop. You can accept or decline the calendar event. You can even edit the event itself.
- Send email as: This new feature is something that people have been waiting for a long time. Many of us, especially at work, manage multiple email addresses from a single Gmail account. The iOS mail app didn’t offer the functionality to recognize this aspect. You could only send the mail from the Gmail account provided to the app. But with this update, you can now send mail as any of the addresses tied in with your Gmail account. The iOS app will now recognize the multiple email address aspect of Gmail.
