The COVID-19 pandemic upended how we live and do business, forcing organizations to spend most of 2020 playing catch-up. Organizations grappled with business continuity and the unprecedented shift to remote work, scrambling to cram years’ worth of digital transformation into a few months. Businesses utilizing Google Workspace’s cloud-native collaboration and productivity apps were able to remain agile during the pandemic and charged ahead without missing a beat. Here are 3 SADA customers who stayed ahead of the curve during the pandemic by empowering their employees to work remotely with Google Workspace

Customer: Kravet

Industry: Wholesale/distribution

Kravet Inc. is a fifth-generation family business that distributes fabrics, furniture, wall coverings, trimmings, carpets, and accessories to the interior design trade. The company’s commitment to innovation has helped transform it from a small fabric house to a global player – representing brands and designers from all over the world.

With 950 employees dispersed throughout corporate offices in the US, Canada, Mexico, and the UK, in addition to a multitude of showrooms throughout North America and Europe, Kravet’s IT Department was looking for technology that could foster a collaborative environment and address a long-term plan to alleviate local file storage that required backup.

After conducting an in-depth analysis, Kravet decided to move to Google Workspace. “In the end, we felt Google Workspace was a better fit for us and our goals. Having a full suite of products that work harmoniously together and offer the same access for everyone throughout our organization were key deciding factors,” said Jesse Lazarus, Kravet’s Chief Process and Innovation Officer.

SADA’s experts put their experience to work, helping to activate Google Workspace to meet Kravet’s unique needs. As a result of the successful implementation and change management services, when the pandemic hit, the Kravet team was prepared.

“The greatest quantifiable metric for me is that in March 2020 we quickly moved 500 employees to remote work status due to the pandemic and suffered absolutely no loss in service."

Eugene Cordi, VP of Infrastructure and Security, Kravet

Employees were impressed that they could simply plug into Google Workspace from home and securely have everything they needed at their fingertips.

Customer: New Mexico Judiciary

Industry: Government

The New Mexico Judiciary serves to protect the rights and liberties of the people of New Mexico guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the State and the United States; to resolve legal disputes fairly; and to ensure access to justice for all.

For nearly a decade, the Judiciary utilized an open source product, Zimbra, for email and calendar functionality. It also used disparate resources for phone conferencing, video meetings, and document storage. None of these siloed offerings were connected or integrated with each other, and the Judiciary was in need of a more secure, efficient, and collaborative suite of tools to better serve the public

With the help of SADA’s consulting team, the New Mexico Judiciary decided to go Google. SADA helped the Judiciary implement Google Vault, with unlimited storage, for easily searchable, secure documents, as well as Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Docs, Slides, and more.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the New Mexico Judiciary has been using Google Meet to ensure that citizen services continue without interruption. The Judiciary holds courtroom sessions remotely with judges, attorneys, defendants, and jurors joining Meet from various different locations. The system is hosting 1,100 meetings per month on average.

“The value we have received is amazing. With increased mobility, enhanced collaboration, and robust, government-friendly security and compliance, it’s just invaluable. The security features alone have made a world of difference—the accountability, the audit capability, the transparency that comes along with being able to share a document and view who’s seen it—to me, that’s worth every penny.”

Dick Wilkinson, Chief Technology Officer, New Mexico Judiciary

Customer: Privia Health

Industry: Healthcare

Privia Health is one of the fastest-growing medical groups in the United States with 2,500 providers and 3 million patients in 650 practice locations throughout Georgia, Florida, Maryland, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, DC. Through partnerships with payers, employers, health systems, and other key stakeholders, Privia uses technology, team-based care, and unique wellness programs to keep people healthy, prevent disease, and improve care coordination both in and outside of the doctor’s office.

Privia Health engaged with SADA to migrate from Google Workspace to Google Workspace Enterprise Plus to take advantage of additional workflow features and top-of-the-line security and management capabilities. SADA’s experience in the healthcare sector helped Privia ensure they configure and operate Google Workspace in compliance with HIPAA and security best practices.

When the pandemic began, Privia Health was prepared with Google Workspace already integrated.

“We needed to be able to collaborate and transition to home-based work without any drag, and we were able to do that. With how SADA helped us set it up on Google Workspace and their change management services, going virtual with work from home was an easy transition – even for the doctors. Google Cloud is one of those really innovative companies that reached out to us asking ‘How can we help you?’ They accelerated their product roadmap and unleashed a whole bunch of neat Google Workspace and Meet capabilities that proved valuable as the bulk of Privia operations went remote.”

Chris Voigt, Chief Technology Officer, Privia Health
