Last Thursday was Google Chrome’s fifth birthday, which means that Google has unveiled an update to the browser: powerful offline capabilities! According to the Google Chrome Blog the updated Chrome App is intended to provide users with the powerful capabilities of software, designed for desktops and laptops.

Even better, this functionality is operational across operating systems, whether you’re using Windows or a Chromebook, with offline working capabilities and the ability to access and save files on your hard drive as well as on Google Driveand other web services. Chrome apps also update seamlessly for the latest in security and functionality features.
