SADA Systems can add the entire Chicago Public School system to the long list of schools that we’ve helped “go Google”. The transition from CPS’s legacy system will save CPS over $6 million over the course of 3 years, unifying communication amongst the students, staff and administration, who formerly sent emails to one another using different email platforms.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for CPS to streamline our internal communications and add instructional tools, while at the same time cut costs,” said CPS CEO Jean-Claude Brizard. “Staff and students can look forward to the benefits of this state-of-the-art system that will contribute to better teaching and learning, while helping us work smarter and more efficiently as a District.”
SADA is thrilled to continue migrating educational institutions the cloud, helping schools drive innovation through enhanced communication and collaboration. It’s important for schools to switch to more efficient, updated and less-costly technology systems – that most importantly, shapes and influences the success of students and staff. With Google Apps, the Chicago Public School system can conduct presentations and lectures in the cloud, to be accessed at a convenient or assigned time and pool together resources to be accessed by all or certain groups. That’s the true beauty of the cloud – to have tools at hand promote ease and efficiency of collaboration, to be able to maximize the value of the resources you have, to work with potential.
“This is a forward-looking system that will give our staff and students the best technology tools available to use in creating a world-class educational system,” Brizard said. “We look forward to its installation and being able to fully utilize all of its features.”
