As part of a migration from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), our client required compute-resilience with persistent storage. While both cloud services offer robust compute recovery processes, we found GCP’s easier to configure than AWS.
In this blog post, we will review the original AWS configuration, GCP’s alternative configuration, how we migrated those compute services from AWS to GCP, and Terraform scripts for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.
